To help me get more easily up and running, I've bought pre-mixed saltwater and RODI top off water from my LFS. Do I need to mix this before doing a water change, or will the salt stay mixed into the water after sitting for a few weeks? If I should mix, any reccomendations for cheap, small powerheads?

Also, curious about temperature matching the water before adding to the tank. I have a 14 gallon (which with rock and sand is slightly less than 10), For my first water change I'm going to a 3 gallon change (no fish or coral yet so not worried about temp), and after that likely 1 gallon per week after that. If I'm only changing 10% of the water, is it necessary to match the temp or is +/- 10 degress ok for a 10% change.

I’m pretty dang sure saltwater doesn’t “unmix” or settle out ever, not at temps under boiling anyway...

This make sense to me. I was pretty sure it was a dumb question, but this is my first time dealing with saltwater so wanted to check myself.

Don’t worry; not here........ heck I’ve never seen anyone chastised for a “Dumb” question....I’ve made many dumb post here, and elsewhere... better to ask in plain txt than get burned in real life
