I currently have a tank where I want to grow majority variety of macroalgae with some soft/leather corals. I'm having issues balancing out the two lighting requirements. Anything over 10k does not have the full spectrum needed for plants, while anything under 10k may not be adequate for corals.

Do folks know if I used a tuna Sun kessil which is at 9k, will that bleach/kill the soft corals? Also, does anyone have any suggestion?

I’ll politely disagree. Most all reef Lights will grow coral and algaes.
A Phillips par 38 bulb from Home Depot is 48,000 k and will grow corals and macros.

You’ll want to look at intensity though.

The tuna sun will work great. IMO.

So the tuna Sun can grow soft/leather corals then?

I would look at one in person first.

The needs of macros of corals and macros are similar. The ones I’ve seen are quite green. (Green is not used by either)
