Just purchased a par meter and found out the the top portion on my aquarium where I keep my SPS’s was 240 par.

Run G5 Radion xr30 at 65% but keep cool & warm whites at 15%. Thinking of upping whites to 50%. Do think this will cause algae blooms.

Run my lights from 7:30 am to 9:30 pm to enjoy my aquarium. They ramp up and down but peak for about 8 hours.

Thinking of upping whites during peak hours but reduce those peak hours to maybe 5 hours to reduce algae outbreaks.

Will that work?

Thank you!

Why not increase your output from 65% to 75-80% if you like your light color. Remember to raise it slowly though.

What’s the best way to increase par - increasing output or increasing the whites?

Either will work. Increasing the whites will probably get you more PAR, but you really don't need that much more PAR for your SPS. If you get it to 300, I would stop. But again, do it over several weeks.
