I have a 90 gallon mixed reef aquarium that has been set up about 9 months. Until recently, I only had live rock, a duncan, and a red monti along with about a dozen fish. I recently added some more coral along with a Yellow Eyed Kole Tang and Six Line Wrasse. The coral I added was a hammer, thin branch frogspawn, and some zoas. Recently I've lost two Neon Blue Gobies, and two Orchid Dottybacks. All of these I've had around 6 months and they were doing great. I think either the Tang or Wrasse took them out, but I'm also concerned that maybe the new coral had something to do with it. My question is whether I should be using some carbon to filter the water in case the coral emit their toxins? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Running carbon is generally a good idea, but I'm inclined to think any warfare between your corals was not the cause of your dead fish.
