Hey all! I mixed up my Red Sea coral pro salt yesterday for about an hour and a half till everything was dissolved. Left it overnight to warm up to tank temp and it’s super cloudy. I’m wondering if it’s safe to use for my water change still? The salinity is 35ppt which is what I usally go for.

You are not supposed to heat it unless you plan on using it withing I think 4 hours or so. I think what occurred was precipitation. You can still use it but some levels might be off.

High alk mixes like Coral Pro are very prone to precipitation when heated and stored. They advise using it quicker.

But let it settle, alk will be lower, calcium a little lower, and it’s ok to use.

Maybe let it sit another night just to be safe, lots of fine little sand particles in there that your fish could be breathing into their gills. I’d play it safe.
It took my new tank a few days to clear after start up.

My coral pro salt does that periodically to. They say it's from over mixing. I try to stay an hour maybe a little longer mixing. I've dropped it into my tank with no issues. Clears up in an hour. Numbers always seem to be consistent with tests after the water change.

I would just use it.

But congratulations, I tried hard to get that mix to do that.
