Hoping Randy can help me with this.

I mixed up 2 x 5 gallons of your DIY 2 part. I used the proper amount of calcium chloride (1 1/4 cups per gallon) but accidentally used 6.25 cups of baking soda. Its supposed to be 1 1/8 cups per gallon vs 1 1/4 cups. Are you able to provide me with the math to figure out how much of the solution to remove and add back straight RODI to get to the proper solution.

Thanks,
Kyle.

You want your final solution to be (1 1/8) / (1 1/4) as concentrated as what you made up. That's 1.125 / 1.250 = 0.9. So take out 0.1 * 5 = 0.5 gallons, and replace that 0.5 gallons with RO/DI.

Thank you very much. Math has never been a strong suit.
