I’ve read that it may be bad mixing anemones, especially when it comes to high end mixed in with others. Is it only bad mixing them when they touch? Or should you not have them in the same tank at all because of the toxins and stuff?

Just wondering if I kept them separate in the same tank, if it would be a problem or not.

I cannot remember the thread but there was a thread that went into it in detail I believe it is only when they touch.

Farmer Ty's response here is excellent.

Everyone seems to have different results.

I would proceed with caution...at one time I had 13 anemones. Now I'm down to 3.

FWIW...I only had different E. quadricolor varieties. You can certainly mix different species of anemones, but you won't want them to touch each other.
