Anyone else keep more than one kind of Chromis? My old setup had greens and bicolors, and an even older setup had greens and Caribbean blues. I have a shoal of 13 greens in my current tank (380 gallon) and I picked up 5 Vanderbilt Chromis today and introduced them into the quarantine! Hopefully they make a nice mixed group!

I've found chromis can be broken down into those that like to shoal, and those that behave more liked amsels.

Those that like to shoal, such as Caribbean blue, blue/green, and vanderbilt, will all mix well.

The damsel-like behaving ones will also mix, but prefer to stay in the territory they stake out.

I scuba dive. In the Caribbean, I often see mixed schools of blue and brown chromis. I think you can probably mix and match chromis. Remember, chromis do tend to murder the weakest member of the school which can whittle down the numbers pretty quickly.
