I just received a new Hanna Po4 checker. I didn't get the ULR one. I'm not that concerned with tiny amounts. Anyway I also have the dkh tester. So If I promise to keep the viles real clean of reagents . Think it's ok OK to mix them between the different tests? I rinse in tap then RODI then soak in vinegar every couple of nights.

I thought it would be OK. Just make sure there is no left over regent to throw off the test. I know darn well I'll get them mixed up . Also don't like the thing turning itself off before I got the regent shaken & in the the device before it shut down. I could be wrong on this. I thought instructions say 2 minutes before shut down but also say shake for 2 minutes !

After you press the button saying C2 you have three minutes till the button for the 3 minute countdown. I set a timer on my watch for 5 minutes and hit it right after pushing the C2 button. When the countdown on my watch gets to 3:05 I put it back in the checker and hold the button for the 3 count. When the timer on the watch goes off I know to check the result.

I would never shake the cuvette. It's not necessary and creates bubbles sometimes. Simply invert back and forth....I hold it by the cap and invert back and forth for the two minutes.

I mix the cuvettes, never a problem. Getting them really clean, that is sometimes a problem. I too struggle with the timing on the ulr meter: I shake for 1 min, then hit the three min timer. I always used to set it down at that point and forget to come back and read the result before it auto shut down. Now I set a three in alarm on my watch to make sure I don’t miss it.

I use a stop watch and stop shaking after 1 1/2 minutes. By the time I put the vale in & hit the button for the 3 minute countdown the whole 2 minutes is past.
