do u see any problem in mixing hermit species? I have a group of 5 or so half inch scarlet hermits and id like some blue legged ones aswell. I know they can get bigger but will the get along? Also my scarlets never touched a snail. Would sugggest me trying or keeping my hands from getting some.

If they need each others shells, they will kill. If not enough food they will kill. However this goes for own species too. I have had both in one tank and they do fine at same size with plenty of food and shells. Blue legs go after snails where my scarlets haven't.

I've mixed red and blue legs with no issues. Make sure there's plenty of food and spare shells.

I did have problems when I got a different type of hermit mixed in with the red legs. Scarlet got bigger and the little hermits we're fair game.
