Are there any certain mixing instruction I need to follow using the Aquaforest reef salt? The paper in my bucket shows the bucket tested at 7.2. I've made fresh batches a couple of different ways and I'm consistently getting a low Alk reading around 6.7.
The first batch I made, I mixed for a couple of hours, then stopped mixing and covered my bucket. The next day I heated the bucket to 78 degrees and tested before using and got a reading of 6.7
The second time, I made RODI 2 days before and let it sit, heated the RODI to my tank temperature 78 degrees, poured the salt in and mixed for 30 min and tested right away and got a reading of 6.7 again.
Both batches were 3-4 gallons. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!
