I currently have a current orbit IC led light over my 48 inch long tank. The light itself is only 36 inches long. I would love to be able to grow some lps and maybe some low light sps. Would it work to keep my current orbit light on one part of the tank and then get an AI hydra 32 for the other end?

Sure it will work. A light fixture is a light fixture. One end, with the Current Orbit will be for softies and zoas and the other end for lps. So how deep is your tank? At 24" the Current Orbit is very weak on PAR.

BTW, I can't say for sure, but I don't think there are many 'low light' sps corals. Maybe some, but not many. And the ends of your tank may look different due to the differences in the 2 fixtures.
