So I've been reading the best way to dose Mag is to dose 10part MagChlor to 1part Magsulfate

Do the Choride ions CANCEL out the Sulfate ions?

No one had ever come straight out to say mixing both keeps your tank within safe Chloride and Sulfate ranges

Anyone?

.

Yes You can mix as you like, I am mixing 5 cups of Magnesium Chloride with 3 Magnesium Sulfate

I guess my REAL question is using Magnesium Sulfate raises sulfate levels to undesirable levels. Does mixing with Mag Chloride significantly reduce these sulfate levels?

No, it prevents just magnesium chloride from raising chloride levels to undesirable levels.

That ratio is determined to keep them in the same ratio as in NSW. As long as you maintain salinity, neither one will rise appreciably. :)
