Mixing pods

Hello! I have a tub where I am growing a culture of tisbe pods. I was curious if anyone has tried culturing different species in the same container?

From what I've read when I was thinking of cultivating some pods for my tank...if mixing pod types, the larger species will eventually consume the smaller species or outcompete them for food until one dominant species controls.
