Mixing Rodi in a very small space.

Good morning!! So I am trying to find a better way to mix my salt water. I am currently buying it at the lfs and transporting up 3 flights of stairs. Unfortunately I dont have much room for a mixing station. Any one have anything they use thats creative? Can I just strap on a rodi unit and only use it when I need it? I have spent countess hours reading and trying to figure it out so I thought I'd ask the experts.

How much water are we talking about here? I just mix my saltwater in a 5-gallon pail.

My 10 gallon ATO is also my saltwater bin for water changes. I fill it with a five gallon water jug (blue jug from the store) with RODI made in my bathroom. Oh...forgot to add that I have a powerhead in the bottom for mixing the salt.

So I have a 120 gallon which isn't terrible when I need to get premixed salt water at lfs but I am needing to top off about 7 gallon a week. I'm currently do a wc once a month.

Do you have your rodi always installed in your bathroom then? Thanks for replying.

I think you'd probably benefit from a small RODI unit. I have a 200-gallon and getting one was a game changer in terms of how much water I had to haul around.

We installed ours under the sink in our laundry room.

We mounted a piece of plywood to our wall and setup the RODI/booster on that, could do something similar next to an installed sink, etc. We have an unused water/drain plumbed in our laundry room which wasn't being used, worked out to be a good place for us. Then, just mix saltwater in a 5 gallon bucket.

Yes, it stays connected to one (of two) sink. One could get crafty and put it below the sink and pipe everything eloquently, but I like to keep an eye on the cartridges and TSD levels.

Yes. I do think i need one. Im just trying to find the best place for it. Which one do you recommend? Thanks for replying.

There was a recent post on suggested RODI units...I think by RHF. BRS, Spectrapure and a couple of others are certainly reputable and can be found on sale. I am a fan of Spectrapure and have owned them for many years; although I did upgrade to a new one last year along with a booster pump.
