So I'm starting my first saltwater tank, I scaped it with ROCK and sand first before filling it with RO water. I don't have an LFS so I had to order my salt online. Am I going to run into any problems trying to mix my salt directly in the tank since my tank is fully scaped and already filled with water? I know Ive seen people mix salt in an already full tank when it's completely void of rock and sand, but is having rock/sand and equipment already in the tank going to cause me any issues?

No

You should be good to go.....but realize that if you put in live sand and/or live rock, it's now dead sand and dead rock by you filling with RO/DI water. So mix your salt right in your DT, but expect to take a little longer for now a cure and a cycle. Be prepared to do water changes when nitrate numbers climb from the cure.

I waited a long time before putting fish in my 225 after mixing it in the display.

It's a waste to buy live rock for this purpose.

Live sand will be killed also. Some people get the salt mixed and then dump sand in but I was sand under my rick when I aquascapped

I used reefsaver rock which is not live, and Carrib-sea Fiji pink sand which I believe is "live" but I didn't buy it for that purpose. All My bacteria came in the form of bio spira and I'm fishless cycling with dr tims ammonium chloride.
I was mainly worried because I had heard rumor of pockets of freshwater being trapped in the rock or sand that can surface and cause issues but I'm on day 6 of fishless cycle now and everything seems to be going normal. Thanks so much for the response!

I scraped with dry rock then filled and mixed the salt in the tank myself, just be sure to add the salt to a high flow part of the system preferably in the sump so the salt doesn't end up being blown under a rock or mixed into the sand in its solid form.

I tried to add it mostly in front of the return and my maxspect gyre xf250 dialed up to 100 but also spread a good chunk in high flow areas in my sump. It's about a week+ later now and all seems to be well! Salinity is holding steady and my bacteria didn't die so I think I'm in the clear for now lol
