So how long do you live the circulation pump to mix the water and aside from salt do you add any other stuff?

Should be. If you worried nothing wrong with waiting a little.

I usually add the salt and have two smaller pumps and a heater going to circulate everything. Usually mix for about 2 days before the change to make sure

Heater is a good idea for colder water.

Exactly, usually straight out of the RODI system so it’s always cold
In the summer I let it sit for a day and room temp is tank temp. In the winter it's about 7 degrees off so I don't worry about it much. I keep a heater around just in case .

Either way it’s always nice to keep an extra one on hand

I typically wait over night.

With enough water circulation, I think that I could get all of the mix dissolved and looking clear in about 2 hours. It would probably be ok. I don’t recall ever mixing salt and using it the same day.
