So I bought a brute trash can and 30 gallons of RO water from my LFS and had it mixing while i went back to get the next batch of water for my setup. When i came back the water seems to have a green tinted to it. I'm not really sure why it did this. I rinsed the brute can out before use so I dont know if I just didn't do a good enough job rinsing or what. I'm using Fritz RPM salt. I'm assuming I need to toss this water for sure and try again but I really dont want it to happen again. Any ideas?

Put the water into a clean white bucket and see if the color is different. If you washed a brute and had clean salt, then it is likely OK.

You also might need to just let it mix and heat overnight.

So I took and put it in a clear container and it definitely had a green tint to it. I really rinsed out the Brute good and wiped it out with paper towels until the paper towels came out with no green on them. I'm mixing another 10 gallons now and so far so good. The only difference is I didn't put the heater in this time so I don't know if I just didn't do good enough rinsing the Brute the first time or what. I guess I'll just have to see with this batch.

Check the heater. May have leaked chemicals
Some of those cans have a oil film in them the one i bought did had to vinegar and water clean then rinse.

So I really really cleaned the can the second time around and mixed 10 gallons at a time after that. I didn't end up having anymore problems after that. I just messed up the first time around and didnt get the can as clean as I thought I had. Thanks for all the help though!

I had that happen, it was the cord on the mixing pump. It developed a small knick somehow, and the copper corroding in the salt water turned green. Id check that heater very carefully, or the electric cord of whatever was in the water.
