Anyone know anything about the RODI buddy systems effectiveness in application for a 40 gallon mixing station?

i have limited space so I’m think about a stand and strapping on these on and feeding it using a T adapter from the water softeners feed line

From there I was thinking a 2 20gal rubbermade bins in a stack w gravity doing the transfer from fresh to salt bay.

is the preference to bruts caused by a chemical thing? That’s been a curiosity of mine as I prep to update equipment.
 
I like the brutes because you can get more with a a smaller foot print but I'm not space limited so no need to stack. Lots of folks use rubbermade containers as well as sterlite etc.

I don't understand your question directed at the RO budddy. I do run one because I house pressure is only 40 psi
 
I think just looking to see if it works, i have a 4 stage in my kitchen already but takes up way more space then what I have opened in my garage for the station. Any maintenance issues or known gaps in functionality?

The buddy works fine but the cartridges don’t last long being so small… my city water is terrible!! I could get maybe 50 gallons and the di was gone..
My bad I was thinking of the RO buddy booster pump not the RO system. I did start with one but didn't stay with it long due to filter size costs etc.

If you have an RO system in place already what I would suggest is just placing a tee after the membrane and run that to your di resin in the garage, no need for an entirely new system. Its how my system is set up and it works great. Momma has her drinking water and I have my rodi. Your talking about a small set up so it should work perfect for your needs. Pick up a couple of cartridges from BRS or elsewhere, some resin and tubing and your all set. I would run 2 stages of di minimum so when the first is depleted you still have 0 tds going into the mixing station.

The distance from the tap to the garage is pretty long would that pose any issues? Probably if I ran in crawl space looking at maybe 30-40’ of hose if I’m conservative.

Oooh or leave it coiled with a ball valve and inly hook it up when needed.

It’s a decent system probably wpuldn’t take too too long to do 40gal (yes it would)

I'm not sure on distance (not a techy spec kinda guy). However my RO system is in my basement and a tube runs about 20ft'10ft being vertical to the tank under the sink and I have no issues.
 
I’ll have to do some toying but I think you saved my planning. And if I can make it work a decent chunk of change.
