I'm in planning for a build and was wondering...

What do you peeps running Triton method have for mixing station set ups? The usual RO/DI, FW, and SW?

I would guess with the lack of water changes the salt water bucket wouldn't be needed. I would just have RODI water on hand for ato needs and some extra if the need for a WC ever arises.

I was thinking the same. I guess there wouldn't be a need for a dedicated SW storage tank.

I thought the same, but then thought it might not hurt to have the capability at least to have enough saltwater on hand in case you need to perform a big water change for some reason, or emergency purposes.

I'm with ya, but what would the shelf life be for a container of SW?

Plus with real estate in a premium, to have a dedicated tank for SW free up floor place would be great.

I suggest keeping several gallons of RO/DI on hand and mix as necessary. Worst case you can hit up your LFS for saltwater.

Depends on what salt you are using but storing some salts long term is not a good idea. That's why I suggested just RODI with enough extra to perform a water change if needed.

I agree with others' posts, I wouldn't necessarily keep mixed SW on hand, but I'd want to have the ability to do so. Then again, it all depends on system size. Maybe have a large tank for RO/DI but just a Brute or something to mix a larger volume of SW if needed.
