Mixing station stain

I finally got a mixing station built. I've wanted to build one for so long and finally had time and money to do it. I built one with some cheap water tanks that didn't quite work. Poor planning on my part. Then I build revision two and I'm very happy with it. BUT, one of the tanks has a brown/yellowish stain on the inside directly below the threaded cap. I'm not sure what it is. I tried wiping it away but no luck. I contacted the manufacture and they said it will just wipe away. I'm hoping it's just a "burn" (for lack of a better term) from the spin welding.

So my question is should I be worried about it?

Hello, I would not worry about it too much. You can try some steel wool to remove it or maybe better a plastic putty knife to scrap or off. If it does not come off and it is a real concern for you, you can see if the company will replace it or fill it with good rodi water and after a few days to a week do an ICP test to see if there is anything to worry about. Personally I think it is just discolored.
