Hi there,
I was supplementing my tank with Red Seas Foundation supplements pack. I needed to add some of each supplement (Calcium, KH/Alkalinity & Magnesium) I have a dropper, which drips the supplements into the sump. I mixed together all 3 of the supplements to be dropped into the sump. But when I mixed them together, a white solid was formed at the bottom. What is it? Can I still use it?

Just added it too a glass and mixed with aquarium water to see if it would dissolve. It hasn’t dissolved at all. Here is a photo of reference.

I think you need to dose 1 at a time - wait maybe 10 minutes between each. They may react with each other.
Ah okay, makes sense tbh, don’t know what I was thinking. So I should throw it away and dose again separately?

yes it is quite useless now. Calcium and the carbonate (alk) has now become calcium carbonate.

Dose them separately and into areas of good flow or turbulence to avoid precipitation.

Hence the reason they are sold separately. :)
