Ok. So, I had an issue recently with receiving fish in order UPS likes to drop my packages off on the wrong street same house number. This past week I ordered anthias and they delivered it wrong. They sat outside for 1.5hrs before I realized they were delivered just to the wrong address. As you can imagine, 1 DOA and 3 dead within 24 hours.
My next issue is that I work 6 days a week and during shipping hours. I don't get days off during the week very often.
So, I want to ship the fish to my office. The issue is obvious as I don't have a tank at the office. So, I want to set up something I can hold the fish in until I get home.
My thoughts are as follows.
5 gallon holding bucket from HD
Air pump
Heater
Pvc
I would drill a few holes in the top of the bucket this would allow for some air circulation but not allow a lot of water to escape while moving it.
The company ships at 1.018/19 and I would mix for that SG.
At work I can run the heater and air pump. Then, it would be off for about 35 minutes give or take while I drive home.
Once home, I could set it back up and leave them be in the container for a day or two before moving them to match salinity in their permanent holding tank for QT.
Thoughts? Would this work? I want to receive Friday. Thanks in advance.
