modding a biocube

has anyone removed the back portion of a biocube in order to open it up and run a sump? is this doable? well im sure anything is doable but has anyone ever done it? I resealed my biocube cause it leaked when i got it used on craigs list and that false wall seemed to be impossible to get out.

I'm sure a hammer and chisel will work. Just tap lightly! Alternatively, a dremel may work as well.

Its completely doable .... Very easy as well its just held in with silicone. On mine i used a razor blade and cut at the silicone towards the top once you get it started then you basically can pull the entire thing out, you just need to use the razor to remove the unwanted silicone then good to go

Cool i may have to look into it for a future build. Seems it would add a nice significant amount of volume to make a nice clean rimless build
