I recently bought "Mohawk Zoas" from an online source. Pictured below is what I received. Heads are currently about 1/4" across - very small and bright orange in the center.

To my eye these look nothing like the Mohawks I was expecting, which have a dark purple color with a kind of Speckled/stary night look.

I'm new to reefing, so not sure if I should expect the color of these Zoas to change or develop over time, or do they remain the same throughout their life cycle?

Not a Mohawk. That’s also not a strain prone to morphing.

What you have there looks like a Sakura strain of one form or another.
Thanks for confirming my suspicions @littlebigreef and @monkeyCmonkeyDo.

Seller just confirmed that this is not a Mohawk and will be replacing. They're treating me well.

Looking forward to growing some legit Mohawks soon!

I just picked up some Mohawks and they have a gold spelled on the center and a bit of a yellow mouth, with a long skirt.i got them from vivid aquariums.
