Moldy smell in ATO res

Does anyone else ever smell a hint of mold inside their ATO container?

Just wondering if this is normal/bad/indifferent?

Um... could be mold.

Warm, damp environment, poor circulation, limited light... sounds like an ideal place for mold to live to me. Don't know what it'd be eating though... doesn't mold need an organic food source of some sort?

I'd recommend a good scrub... I empty and scrub out my ATO reservoir twice a year.

Also could let some vinegar soak in there and then rinse it.

Good question. Does anyone keep a small power head in their ATO res for circulation?

It’s not like overpowering, it’s more of a hint...

It’s RODI water that my ppm meter says is running at 4... so yeah it’s not total 0 water either...

Yeah. It’s even like all my buckets of RODI have the same smell after emptying them. The tank is running at 100% though...
