36 g bowfront, 2 ai prime 16, aquamaxx hob w shimmer, numerous coral frags, cleaner shrimp, blood shrimp, pincushion, 6-line, coral beauty, both firefish, prawn goby, 2 clowns, Emerald Crab, hermits. Parameters NO2 10, NO3 .05, CA 4-500, DKH 10, PH 8. Tank is s month old, already went ugly and is now pristine again. The problem is that everytime my fire shrimp molts I wake up and see the molt next to a dead fish, fist a flame angel, and now one of the clowns. Everything else in the tank seems to be doing well, corals seem happy, skimmer is clean. Any ideas?

Definitely unrelated (unless your shrimp is radioactive). Probably just currents that deposited both together. Without a timeframe, history (etc.) it's hard to speculate what might be going on. 36 gallons is small enough to encourage aggression between your angels, though. One month is also a really short timeframe to have that many fish already.

Yeah, I'm at a loss. Parameters have been stable for weeks, I know the tank is fast but the indicators are all green. I only keep one angel at a time, flame died so I tried the coral b. with success so far. All fish are 1inch or less, to accomodate the community size. Clowns were first in, day one. Used turbo start and microbacterclean with some ghostfeeding. Shrimp was next in the tank, seems quite healthy. Added some pods yesterday, fish seemed totally fine, doa this am. Smaller and less aggressive of the two clowns. Been working with the LFS(quite a good reputation) adding few fish and corals each week. Everything else has been perfect aside from the molt/death combo. And I say a month but in reality it's been almost 2.
