Monetaria annulus

Hi,

I was taking a look at one of my snails, monetaria annulus. It seems to be cover with some sort of skin with really cool patterns.

I was surprised because I turned the light on to take a picture and the skin with the pattern seemed to retract, probably some of you already had noticed such a thing but this is the first time I see this

That’s cool. There’s always something new to this small aquarium.

Good pictures of that. That keeps their shell nice and shiny. I’m sure the membrane does other stuff too but I’m not sure what. I have 2 of those snails. Good additions to the tank!
