I have posted this on the GHL Facebook page, but thgouht I would post here as well.

My skimmer stopped running yesterday (due to be fouled). Normally it had 0.5A current draw on the power bar. Is there a way of monitoring and alerting if current draw is outside of a nominated window (either high or low)?

Low - obvious use case is when a pump stops running.

High - something variable might be running harder than it should (possible to pick up on a 1-10v output if you are using Profilux to control, but may be useful where Profilux isn't be used to control). An example might be a DC return pump pumping harder than it should.

Thanks in advance

Any updates on a possible timeline on this feature? I think this is a very important feature that needs added for early failure detection of all kinds of equipment.

Its pretty much the only feature that has me leaning toward Apex for my new tank

Hello,

No, there is no news on this subject.
Unfortunately, we can't tell you if and when this feature will be available, but the fact that it is desired is indeed being taken into account.

In 2020 it was on the to-do list as posted above from a GHL employee and now no idea if it will ever be worked on.

As a GHL customer I get the feeling that GHL does not really care about their customers.

I can't let it be said that GHL doesn't care about its customers, because that's obviously not true.
I prefer to tell it like it is, rather than make empty promises.
I use GHL products myself and am also looking forward to some of the features that are currently missing.
Of course we'd like things to go faster, but it's not that simple.

I am a customer and that is my perception so weather you like it or not it is true for me. I would bet that I am not the only customer that feels that way.

+1 for this. It would be a hugely useful feature, easily implemented in software using the current capabilities of the hardware.
