As was perviously mentioned, Apex continually monitors salinity, but the probe is highly sensitive to tiny bubbles accumulating in the sensor, causing the reported salinity to drift downward over time, Leading you to take the probe out of the holder and swish it around from time to time to clear it out. Kind of a hassle and quite frankly i am not sure why I would ever expect salinity to change, except during water changes, and i use a refractometer for that. Are there any monitors (not testers) ? Doesn't have to graph but just display the value on the display would do .
I should add that I just got one of VCA’s “Salinity Probe Stabilization Kits” and am going to try that. If it doesn’t keep the bubble out as advertised, I think I will just turn the probe off.As was perviously mentioned, Apex continually monitors salinity, but the probe is highly sensitive to tiny bubbles accumulating in the sensor, causing the reported salinity to drift downward over time, Leading you to take the probe out of the holder and swish it around from time to time to clear it out.
