hey guys wondering if this would be sufficient to add phosphate to my tank?

I found this

https://www.nutrien.com/sites/defau...um phosphate NA Final 04302015 [Nutrien].pdf

Which says that it is slightly toxic to practically non toxic to aquatic life. But wanted to ask on here if anyone has experience with it.

Reason for asking is I am having a Dino outbreak and my nitrates and phosphates have tanked to wear I can’t notice a color shift whatsoever in my test kits. So I am buying some nitrate to raise that, but I have the monoammonium phosphate on hand. Thanks for any help!

The amount of ammonia added for a normal phosphate dose of, say 0.01 or 0.02 ppm is not significant from a tox perspective (much less than 0.01 ppm), and is also not likely enough to maintain nitrate levels.

I'd personally use sodium or potassium phosphate, and sodium (or maybe potassium) nitrate. :)

Yeah I am using potassium nitrate for the nitrate bump. But was just looking at what I had around the house for the phosphate bump. You know not spending money unless I have to thing. I will look into the others you mentioned for phosphate thank you

Looking at that sheet, which really doesn't give much purity detail, I'd look for something else as it has substantial fluoride and a lot (48%) of something else (maybe just water, but I cannot be sure).

Well that page I found just trying to look for information on the chemical itself. What I have is monoammonium phosphate crystal.

This is my problem right now...... they just exploded......very frustrating. I am going to do a water change here in a bit and try and remove as much of them as I can.
