Seen this dude a couple of times. Tried every kind of trap I could find on the net. Today,I resorted to taking the rock out of the side he was on. After about an hour and half of searching thru the sand, slow and carefully, finally cornered it. It hadn't bothered anything yet, but I figured it would sooner or later. That's 2 monsters that I wanted out. Monster- 0, Hobbiest-2. Glad those are out. He's pretty good size.

Glad you were able to remove them.

We have one of those crabs and he's silver dollar sized, LOL... We keep throwing extra pellets into his domain to deter him from munching on corals or worse, our fish. We're going to have to set a trap for him soon though.:xd:

Nice...looks like a type of stone crab and just fyi those get huge lol and can break fingers along with relocating heavy rocks. I had alot of those monster fireworms at one point in my 20g. I took all rocks out dad a salt dip and literally pulled out around 75 big worms, let rocks dry for a while befor rescaping and some still survived.
