MONSTERS LIVING INSIDE MY CORAL!!

Woke up and decided to poke around my tank a bit and see what goes on with the lights out. To my surprise there were about 10 arms coming out of the top and bottom of one of my corals...

Looks like the arms of some brittle star fish?? Only thing is, i have never owned a brittle star...
Seems to be atleast two or three of what ever it is in there, are they trapped? Should i break them out?

Micro brittle stars. Great part of the clean up crew and harm nothing. You probably had a few in your rock, on a plug, or something you put in the tank. Congrats on the free score.

Thanks, i guess I'll toss the little guys some spot feed. Are they smart enough to find a new home before they get to big and stuck in my coral?

They wont get stuck and dont get big.

They breed quickly and are pretty good at cleanup. Members were selling them on R2R.
