I really like both of these but cant seem to find out what they are.
Any idea on an ID? I hate posting things for sale without the correct ID!
Thanks! Gary

second one is similar to the tyree dino egg. I have that piece and color/structure is the same. Those palys are nice!

Thanks guys!! You are correct. After looking up the Dinosaur Egg Monti it is identical.
Thanks for the help!

The Monti now has an ID, any idea on the Palys anyone?

That would be nice! I know that it is much different than the Candy Apple Reds but I cant seem to find the palys above any where..

i have those first ones and they were sold to me as fruitloop polys but i dont think they are?? they look great though but slow growers.

Yeah, I would have to agree that they are not FruitLoops unless there is two versions of the FruitLoops?

Anyone?

tyrees dinosaur egg was only distributed to one person. His colony died soon after and the LE was retired. I doubt this has same lineage but could be similar coral. Just name it something else...

Chameleon, Lord of the Rings, maybe even a spartans pride morph? From zoaid, just my guesses.

Its a wild piece that I got in that was nearly bleached. I have had the colony for about 5 months now since I saw it starting to color up after a couple of weeks of having it I figured I would hang onto it.
From what I have found it is identical to the Dinosaur Egg therefore I figured it would be best to keep the name but of course with no lineage.

Unfortunately, they are more of a pink color in person. I wish that Candy Apple Pink was not already taken...

I say (purple candy apples ) LOL

I will have to check out Spartans Pride, I dont think I have ever seen them before.

Wonder if just Candy Apple is taken, Ill have to look.....

All of the awesome coral come as hitch hikers..... I only have about 10 polyps at the most.

That stinks. Have you had them long enough to determine how fast they grow?

I think they will grow faster in my tank

I would have to say that they are the typical growth of most nice coral, SLOW......... But, thats just a guess. Ill have them on eBay this week. You are probably correct, there is only one way to find out.

cool deal. Its unique for sure. Hope you can keep it. Obviously its been growing how is the growth rate and what color was it when you got it?

When I got it I thought the colony was dead. It was completely bleached and I had to look close to see that it was actually the flesh that was white.

It grows rather fast, in the 5 or so months that I have had it I would say that it has doubled in size. Before cutting some frags off of it the other day I would say it was about the size of a soft ball.

Most of the colony now has a green base as shown in the photo. But, the side of the colony that does not receive as much light has a purple/blue base.

I have always thought it was a really cool coral so I held onto and it colored up and grew well.

First ones looks very similar to what i have and they were sold to me as Birthday Cakes... after being in my tank for a while the pinkish white part starts to turn more white than pink.
