I have had a monti coral for about 8 years and it’s about a foot long and It’s just started bleaching. The flesh is falling off and it’s getting worse every day. I have tried turning the lights down from 70% to 60%. I had the tank rescaped about 8 weeks ago and he changed the light programme but I have had no issues until the last 10 days. I have had an icp test and can see no issues with the water. There was a slight increase in temperature but nothing to be alarmed of. The nitrates did get to zero but I have changed that so they now running about 5-10. The KH has hovered between 8 and 9 for the life of my tank. I do have a massive astorina star fish challenge but I can’t see any of them on the new flesh corals. Just on the dead coral.

I have attached my lCP test and some photos.

If there is a way to check the underside may be Monti eating Nudibranch
Would you be able to see them with naked eye. I added some softies about 8 weeks ago but nothing since. So no idea where they could have come from.

Perhaps delayed effects of your nitrate bottoming out?

I thought that. But would you expect it to slow once I upped it (I run nopox) so have upped it by relatively quickly but the bleaching hasn’t slowed.
