Sooo... a little background.

My adventures in reefing have led me to a second round of flood disaster control(Yes... a second round. One more and I think the wife might tear the tank down while I am sleeping). This flood was due to my skimmer pump air intake hose coming loose, causing the skimmer to overflow, and the skimmer is a tad oversized for my grossly undersized sump. This resulted in a slow leak probably 2-3 gallons into my carpet(I hate carpet by the way). To avoid mildew I treated the carpet with a fungicide sucked up as much as I could and dried with fans and a dehumidifier. The chemicals made me nervous so I turned off filtration, covered the tank, put a power head in to keep water moving while I treated the carpet and dried everything out. A little under two days with no light or filtration and I set everything back up and everything bounced right back except the monti cap. It is snow white and I have no idea what I should expect or how long I should give it before I should say my goodbyes and head back to the LFS to get another one.

Anyone have any good monti cap resurrection experiences?

I have never had anything come back if it was snow white one that I thought was gone lost all the color the skeleton looked a weird pale grey green almost like it was a bleached coral that had dirt & algae on it then one night under the blue leds there was a hint of green & it took off after that sorry to say I think goodbyes are in order:sorry:
