Bought this large piece of monti so large I couldn’t have it underwater for the car ride home 30-40 mins.
Got the coral in the tank looked good has a few aptasia within it. Had it for 2 months and everyday I seem to lose the coral. I definetly have montipora eating nudibrachs have bought 2 wrasses which seem to be eating one pest or another.
Parameters are pretty stable - PO4 was out of whack in November up to 2.4 have been trying to reduce it since currently at 0.5.
salinity checked using calibration liquid and apparently my tanks been at 1.023 forever AHHH.
alk - 8.4
Cal -450
Mg 1400
Ph 8.2
Temp 25
no dosing
my question is will this monti survive is there anything else I can do? And the damage seen does it look like nudibranch damage or more like parameter damage?
have noticed my flame angel also pop over and nip and swim off most likely pellets stuck on the coral
any help appreciates reaaaaaaaly don’t want to lose this
