So about 10 days ago I had a ferocious attack by Monti Eating Nudi's, I QT'ed and aggressively dipped the pieces effected. I ended up loosing the pieces.

Anyway two days ago I noticed that I had some pieces that were showing signs of Nudi's again. Obviously, there were some eggs somewhere still in the tank.
Anyone know how to kill the nudi eggs? Clearly Revive doesn't do the job.

a friend of mine had some and he said the only way he could rid them was tossing the whole coral in the garbage and let the tank starve out for a couple months...sorry to say that..:(
good luck.. i would scrape anything that you see and keep the quarintined untill there is no signs of them..

ever heard of Potassium Pomergranate dips or something like that. I think I read about it somewhere.

or

placing the infected corals in a bucket with a bunch of camel back shirmps ?

Get a green coris wrasse and it will eat all of them. That's what I did 3 years ago and haven't seen one since.

I went the hard route when I found them three years ago. All Montis were removed from the tank, all non live tissue cut off with a bandsaw, covered all non tissue areas after cutting with super glue, dipped in TMPCC, and quarantined for two and a half years... The lenght of QT was a good bit longer than necessary, but I wanted to know they had starved and had the room to QT them, so no rush (I had collected a lot of nice monti's at that point...). I've heard too many stories where someone posts they left the tank devoid of monti's for 6 months, only to have them pop back up. Everyone is looking good these days.

dip the corals and chop all the bottoms off and qt then for a long time. Thats really about all you can do.

They lay eggs on the none growing tissue -- meaning it could be on the eaten, dead coral or the rock-plug they are mounted to, or the frag rack etc.

Very difficult to eradicate. CoralRX works well too. Nothing - so far - kills the eggs except a tootbrush and scalpel.

The Potassium P works well but very easy to overdose and nuke the monti. When mixed correctly the coral will lose color, but will come back in 2 - 3 months

I just blow them off and suck them up with a turkey baster when I see a lot of them. They are still around but the damage is minimal when I do this weekly. It is certainly hard to eradicate these pest by doing dips since montis encrust...and fast!

I had a problem with zoanthid eating nudibranchs, and one of the things that I could see that killed them without harming the coral was to do dips in tank water and FWE, at
4X the recommended dose.
The nudi's would literally fall apart in a mater of 15 to 30 seconds.
I even nuked the whole tank with FWE, at 4X the dose.
