Monti getting shredded and losing tissue

Hi all,

I put in a monti from WWC today and within hours of it being in my tank it started to deteriorate. I'm assuming it is a gonner but how do I prevent it in the future? All params that I am able to test proved to be normal..

Does not look bad. Get it off the sand so it does not get sand on it and irritate it. Moderate light and water flow.

Your a life saver today. When i first put it in this morning i had it on my frag rack above and it seemed to be getting too much flow. it has already lost a significant amount of tissue and looks to be peeling off the frag plug.

Moderate flow. The flow may have been too much especially just being introduced.

I will move it back up to my frag rack and turn the flow down. I am using an AI Nero at around 70% at random intervals
