my monti is starting to have spots missing from the top and I was wondering if it's from to much flow?

Probably not. Monti usually do very well with flow. Maybe something irritated those areas. Should grow over no problem

It could be montipora eating nudibranches. You might want to observe at night with lights out. I hope that's not the case but it very well could be what's going on.

Could it be it needs more lighting cause I do have it on the Sandbed I'm running a radion xr30w pro g2 it's topping off at 60% intensity

I haven't seen any I inspect every night unless I'm just randomly missing them at the wrong time

I've had montipora do that to me when I switched lighting. Possibly the source you got it from was using a different light source than yours?
I've had it in my tank for about 2months now and I believe Aquasd also uses leds if I remember correctly

Also I think the Kenya above it might of stung it but I'm not 100% sure

[emoji1360] that's one thing to rule out. I know I had a grafted monti brown out when I switched up lighting. My monti still alive trying to make a come back though.

Where do yu place your monti?

If your parameters are all in check, it may not be getting the light it needs being on the sandbed. In general, medium to high light is required and same with flow to sustain and have thrive long term after acclimation. Most of my montipora are located towards the top 1/3 of my tank and I use Kessil LEDs.

Okay that's what I was thinking to that I need to move it up
N yeah all my parameters are in check

Mine is at the top of my rock work. And in the most flow area of my tank. But my system is shallow

Well I moved mine toward the top both the rainbow and the jf green eggs and ham so let's see how they do
