Monti- Stress Slime or Algae?

Coral itself looks fine, I even see some encrusting going on down the plug. But I do see some algae on the plug(the webbing around the coral).

Can you get a whiter light pic?
Agree with this post.
In the current pic, do I see webbing with bubbles? Almost a dino looking infection. (or cyano)
Definitely need a white light pic.

If I’m honest it just looks like your Montipora (spoingodes?) has a case of hair algae.
 
Yeah that was my thought. Leave it or try to get it off? Don’t want to tick of the Monti if I can help it.
Honestly, I’ve not had much of an issue with algae as long as it is controlled and doesn’t grow over the coral.
 
This is stress slime if/when you see it, they do it every few days then hugg it out..
