Hey guys,
Last night I stopped in to see a friend at one of the LFS and had quite a debate about which piece I'd choose between this ORA monti that has unusually large polyps and 2 heads of frogspawn. My curiosity got the best of me as I nabbed the monti, needless to say I think it's a stunning piece! It's sitting on the SB of the 160 at full extension right now, not much of a transition as it went from hydra to hydra. Now is the hard part. I've been searching all morning to figure out what exactly this is! I've never seen polyps this large on an SPS. The flesh seems almost receded into the exoskeleton with no real color other than the calcareous deposit. This leads me to believe it may be some other species. I've taken an actinic and a day pic, anyone want to take a whack as to what it is?? Don't be lazy and say stylo or birdsnest, we both know that ain't it!
