Montipora bleaching?

I intentionally dropped it over 3 or 4 days. They were actually growing for the first 6 or 8 weeks, with no changes to flow or light..

To be honest I wasn't testing the water since eveything was doing well. I know now that wasn't the smartest thing to do unfortunately. I have been dosing calcium and alk regularly for several weeks so I would imagine there weren't any significant swings?

It happens no worries, but that would be very helpful. My best guess is that since you've recently been dosing over the past several weeks and you're now seeing issues is you're pushing your ALK too high. I would very slowly tone it back, and test daily. Record your test results, best way to look back on where your system has been compared to where it's at currently.

May have already asked, but are you doing water changes and if so with what salt mix?

I had a monti starting to bleach, and after a couple weeks it was getting worse so i pulled it out and on the underside i found thoses pesky white monti eating nudis, i dipped in a double dose of dip, then did it again a couple days later and now 2 months later its regrown over the bleached zones and thriving again. Maybe something like that is eating it.

Definitely possible!
