Noticed my red cap monti grew well for a few months and is now bleaching. I have not changed the lights so that cant be it. The rest of the sps corals are fine. Jusy wondered if there are any suggestions. Have had this coral for six months and it tripled in size. Thanks Andy

Is it across the whole thing or just random patches? If random patches check for nudis on the underside. They are also my hardiest fastest growers and only time i had an issue was around 1.5 years ago and it was nudis munching it, they should be white and on the underside while lights are on. If its the whole thing and not a pest something in the water must be bumming it out.

I will check parems when i get home. The only thing thats changed recently is im starting to dose aquaforest 123 system.
Did some testing yesterday. Results were,
PH 7.7
KH 7
Salinity 1.031
Cal 520+
MAG 1500+

All seem out of whack but dont know if that is the cause. Doser turned off yesterday. Gonna watch levels.

Probably a cascade effect if the salinity is truly that high. I would try and figure out how it got that high and start bringing it down.
