I removed one of these little buggers last night and now I am afraid I see eggs on several of my montis. Haven't seen a lot of damage but there is some. Anyway to remove them without taking the corals out of the tank? Have way too many montis that are attached to several pieces of rock to pull them out and treat outside of the display.

Help!!!

Get yourself a yellow or a green coris wrasse and you wont have to worry about them. I have not seen one since I put my green coris in the tank 18 months ago.

get em early before they start spreading, pain in the butt

revive works and get the wrasse

I had them horrible before I knew what they were and all I did was drop the wrasse in my 75. I have yet to see one to this day. All coral recovered and had covered over the damaged areas within a month.

this will sound crazy... but about a year ago we got some in the store, I was able to treat the corals with peppermint shrimp. I would just "dip" them in the tank with the peppermints and you could watch them pick off all the nudi's rip them in half and then eat them. Then they would hunt around the whole coral for eggs.... they never really came back but I dipped the whole 600g system a few months later just to make sure my sps are pest free.

after reading up on Revive, I got the impression that is only good for dips...can I use it on the whole system? I am trying to track down a coris wrasse locally, so far no luck.

revive is for dips only.

works but wont rid the display of them, for that you will need to go without monti in the display for 6-8 weeks. a wrasse may help, my leopards slowed them but did not eradicate them.

Leopards are lazy. Several of the wrasses in the Halichoeres genus are a bit more active and effective (yellow, green, blackstripe, etc).

Radiante wrasse will take care of any buggers
