My montipora are growing like crazy and I love it, but I positioned 2 next to each other and one is growing over the other. Should I just leave them be? Or what can I do??

I would move it. It will continue to grow over the other one and the one on bottom won’t get light and have a chance of dying. We’re you trying to graft the montis?

No, I had bad luck with montis for a while so when these started thriving i didnt want to touch them. Can i just grab the red one and easily move it? Or are they the encrusting type? I feel like part of it Is attached to the rock.

You can try and move it. Just do it gently did you glue it down?

You can always frag the piece that’s growing over the other one

Can you provide a close up pic for species ID on both ? because as long as they are the same species and not something like one being M. hodgsoni and the other being a capricornis, you can let them layer without harm.

Here is a pic from a tank I had running about 12 years ago, circled are two M.capricornis I had plating in harmony.
