Is that a bad thing or okay or normal?
Probably you got the frag with them. They aren't good usually, because they can multiply rapidly and will compete the coral for food and light. Also they may sting it and kill it that way.

It's a best to take them with a tweezers very gently (not to hurt the coral) and taking them to the last bit out of the tank (but still in tank water), not sure is there something which you can use for DIP against them, mechanical remover is the best way as I know.

i have had that frag for over a month. Started seeing it a few days ago. should I scrub it off w/toothbrush or some kind of dip???
I'm sure if you don't have them on anything else they come with the frag (just 1-2 mm of them it's enough they to over grow rapidly for no time.
with toothbrush you have to be very gentle, because like I see and there is usually coral flesh on the skeleton under it. Be very careful, DIP don't know for any against hydroids. But clean them completely to get rid of them.

Yes I would scrub them all off with a toothbrush and don't worry if ya scrub the edges of the coral a little then dip it in some iodine and put it back in the tank.

OK. Thanks everyone, moved them to QT. I will work on removal in the morning then dump QT water after.;Nailbiting
keep it if you have QT for longer to observe the coral for more and to pick them up with tweezers (very gently), that are just attached to the coral tissue like I see yet, but on the base if it's marceline or from natural stone, they can go and start from any crevice, gap, or hole(look to take them out completely)
