Need help identifying issue with this montipora. Up until yesterday it was doing great for months with fast growth. Now the ends seem to be damaged\melting as shown in picture. Any ideas what can be the issue?

Could be alot of things....
Start with the easy ones, what do you test for? And what are the levels? Alk? No3? Po4? Have you had any inconsistency in any of these 3?
How often and What do you do for tank maintenance/ water changes?
Could there be something close thats sweeping it with stingers?

Is it only the tips on the front side? Wlor a pic with your white lights on aswell

I'm planning on doing a water change today and will re-check parameters. No3 was at 2 and Alk was at 10.25 last week when I checked. I do weekly water changes and use RedSea Pro

What other corals do you have and how do they look? How long have you had them?
What is your S/G?
Better yet what are all your parameters?
Do you test before or after water change?

Other Montipora looks great. That's why I'm confused. This one was doing so great too up until a couple days ago. S/G is at 1.025

Nothing nearby stinging it.

I recently got an Emerald crab...could that be the culprit?

Doubt its the crab.
Give a summary of your tank setup, fitration, lights, maintenance, stocking, parameters. How long you have had it running
