So I moved my jedi mind trick montipora up approximately 3 inches in my 29 gallon biocube with diy leds. I had been acclimating it from the floor up. At this second height (move every 2 weeks) its started to lightly brown out on the highest point. It's been brown for about a week now and kindof maintaining the brown color on top. Should I move it back down or allow it to get used to the new spot? Btw all water parameters are in check.

I have my JMT down low in my tank and it has great color and growth. 250w 20k MH lighting, getting maybe 100 par tops but like more like 70-80. Most montipora dont need a ton of light but they can be acclimated slowly. Move it back down if it was doing well before you moved it. Pics help a lot as well if you can take a good one without blue leds.
Pic on my encrusting monti rock for a months or so ago.

I mounted my JMT too high and it died. I would move it back down asap and leave it there for a few months. Unrelated, but I have a scoly on the bed and need to move it up because of my jawfish (that is looking to dump sand anyplace). I'm moving it up two inches to see how it goes. Keeping my fingers crossed, those scolys are expensive...

Not good with all the names but here you go. It’s early so it’s not open yet. Orange, green and blue. I really like it and may get another.
