Montipora placement question

What should be the ideal placement for WWC Cherry tree montipora and Rainbow montipora?
I believe they are both encrusting types. I would like to know your opinion on where in my tank should place these frags? High Light - high flow? Low light - Low flow.
I have 6 bulb ATI fixture with reefbrite actinic supplement.

If you have these corals in your tanks, please share photos for inspiration.

From what I know, high light and high flow will enhance the colors, and keep them vibrant, so upper to mid area.if they are not enjoying the top and their colors are fading I would reccomend a little less light exposure and medium water current, though high light and strong flow should suffice although

Honestly. I have rainbow montipora growing all over the tank. About 3/4 the way up at its highest point, and on the sand in the shade at its lowest. I did this specifically as an experiment to see what varying light levels do for its color and growth. For me...honestly I find no difference at any point. It looks the same everywhere it is for me.

Those 2 specific montipora do better lower to mid tank levels IME. I'd say medium light and moderate to high indirect flow.

I concur! They will come back if you bleach them on accident, as long as you move them.

when we say high or med light for the cherry tree what par are we saying.. to bring out the bright red intense color. thanks

To be honest, I've never measured par.

No idea on par, I can tell you I have 5 Kessil 160we's over the tank.

With your light fixture you can put the montiporas anywhere in your tank and they will grow.
